Coach Bobby Hill is a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach having coached ice hockey at the high school, Mite, and Squirt levels for over 14 years in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Northern Virginia.  This is Coach Hill’s second season with the Flyers Youth. Previously he served as a Head Coach with the Ashburn Xtreme Hockey Club in Ashburn, Virginia as well as 5 years as head coach of the South Lakes High School Ice Hockey team in Reston, Virginia.  His hockey passion began in Southern New Jersey playing and later coaching for the Washington Township High School Ice Hockey Club in Gloucester County. He is a graduate of Penn State University where he played hockey and earned a degree in Finance and Business Law.  Coach Hill continues to play hockey locally as well as annually at the US Pond Hockey Championships in Minnesota.

Professionally, Coach Hill is a National Bank Examiner with the United States Treasury Department’s Office of the Controller of the Currency.  He currently serves as an Examiner-In-Charge within the International Banking division.  When not examining banks or at the rink, Bobby enjoys traveling with his wife Jaclyn and two sons RJ (2008) and Zachary (2014), usually to hockey related locations.

First and foremost, Coach Hill emphasizes creating a positive hockey environment for the players.  Goal #1 is to get the kids to the adult leagues whether that be Juniors, NCAA, club or adult league, with a love for the game.  He believes that does not happen if the players do not want to come to the rink.  Having fun is an important element; however, personal and team growth is also essential to success.  Coach Hill is excited and looking forward to leading the Flyers Youth Squirts this season.
