Barry’s passion for ice hockey began at an early age playing on the frozen ponds of NJ and competing as a goalie for his high school, Bishop Eustace Prep club team. He is a certified Level 5 USA Hockey Master coach with 13 years experience coaching all levels of youth hockey from mites thru midget U18AA. His teams have been NJYHL State Champions, finalists and have captured many tournament crowns as well. Over the last 7 years, he has also been actively involved full time on the board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes/FCA Hockey. Players he has coached and worked with have played or currently play on pro teams, NCAA D1, D2, D3, ACHA D1, D2, D3, juniors, USA National Deaflympics Team, USA National Dek Hockey team and Team USA Maccobi Games.

Coaching Philosophy: Committed to doing my best to lead, teach, train and prepare the team to compete at the highest level possible. Build a team culture that is consistent, caring and contagious. Connect and communicate with players, coaches and parents. Help grow every player socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Develop not only better hockey players but more importantly, better productive young men.

Team Philosophy: Committed to team first before self. Desire to do your best to be your best. Never give up mentality. Maintain positive and upbeat attitude. Can accept advice and criticism to improve. Take responsibility for actions and accept consequences. Win and lose as a team. Respect our teammates, coaches, referees and opponents under all circumstances. Always work hard, play smart and have fun!
