Joshua Levine


This will be Joshua Levine’s first year coaching the Flyers Youth.   He spent his childhood playing for the Lehigh Valley Comets.  His love of the game and deep hockey sense pulled him to officiating at the age of 13.  While attending the University of Colorado at Boulder Levine became deeply involved in the USA Hockey Officiating Program.  He attended all nation camps and worked in various junior, collegiate and pro leagues including the USHL, NCAA, West Coast Hockey League.   When Levine graduated college he moved to Des Moines, Iowa to work full time in the USHL and was part of the joint program with the WHL Major Junior Hockey League in Western Canada and USA Hockey.   Levine was also part of the USA Hockey Officiating national instructor staff. 

While building his professional restaurant career with Starr Restaurants Levine took a couple years off from hockey.  When his oldest son Brody was old enough to walk he was on skates and Levine’s fire for hockey was ignited again. 

Levine’s coaching philosophy is to provide a structured, supportive, and positive environment for players to learn and love the game of hockey.  He places a strong emphasis on FUN, sportsmanship, team work, and fundamental skating and skill development.  He will support the player’s growth while developing their work ethic a thoughtful understanding of the game.  The ultimate goal is to have fun while enabling each player on the team achieve their potential as young hockey players. 

Levine is currently the Director of Operations for Starr restaurant and lives in center city with his wife Jill and hockey players Brody and Cooper
